Together with United, it is now the second-largest airline in the world, travelling to cities and destinations all across the globe.

How to Make a Reservation

All reservations can be placed through the United website at www.United.com, or by calling 1-800-UNITED-1. Currently you can reserve a flight through January, 2014.

United Rewards Program

Currently, United and Chase have teamed up to offer a United MileagePlus credit card. You receive an extra 30,000 miles when you spend $1,000 in the first three months, and 5,000 extra miles when you add an authorized user. Checking Baggage

Each passenger is allowed to carry-on one bag and one personal item. Be sure your carry-on doesn’t exceed the 14in x 22in x 9in limit, ,and that your personal item isn’t bigger than a laptop, backpack, or purse.
United charges $25 to check one bag, or $35 to check two with a weight limit of 50 lbs. each. However, if you sign up for their Chase credit card, you can check your first bag free. On all international flights, your first bag is checked for free, and the rate varies depending on the destination for an additional bag. The 50-pound weight limit still applies.

Checking In

You can check-in for your flight up to 24 hours before departure either online, self-check in at a kiosk at the airport, or in line with assistance of customer service. To check-in at the airport, you will need a major credit card or your driver license (if it has a magnetic strip). Make sure to always have your confirmation number and identification in case you need it.

Inflight Services

United offers a variety of appealing services to make your inflight experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. WiFi is already offered on many aircraft, and the company is adding it to 25 additional aircraft each month.

United also offers many dining options during your flight. All flights, as expected, offer complimentary snacks and beverages such as coffee, tea, or soda, and you can purchase alcoholic beverages with a major credit card. In addition, you can buy snack boxes à la carte on flights lasting over two hours, and you can purchase full meals on flights longer than 3 hours that depart before 8 p.m.
